レッスンで一番（いちばん）大事（だいじ）にしているのは、生徒（せいと）さんの幸（しあわ）せです。ネイティブレベルまで日本語（にほんご）を使（つか）いこなせるようになりたい方（かた）、高（たか）い目標（もくひょう）はないけれど日本語（にほんご）に触（ふ）れたい方（かた）、どんな方（かた）でもまずは相談（そうだん）してください。一緒（いっしょ）に楽（たの）しく学習（がくしゅう）しましょう。

私（わたし）のレッスンでは、覚（おぼ）えた日本語（にほんご）を、失敗（しっぱい）を恐（おそ）れずどんどん使（つか）ってください。言（い）い間違（まちが）いや、覚（おぼ）えると便利（べんり）な表現（ひょうげん）などは、後（あと）で見直（みなお）せるようにSkypeのChat Boxに打（う）ち込（こ）んでいきます。

英語（えいご）でのレッスンも可能（かのう）です！！

Hello, I'm Gakky!

What I care about most in conducting Japanese lessons is the happiness of my students. Whether you aim to master native-level Japanese proficiency or want to enjoy learning Japanese culture and the beauty of the language, I’m here to help you.

In my lesson, please use vocabulary and phrases you have learned without worrying about making mistakes. I will make notes of both your mistakes and correct way of saying, and useful expressions for you to practice after the lesson.

I speak fluent English so please don't put yourself off learning Japanese with a native Japanese speaker online. 

【自己紹介／ABOUT ME】

大学院（だいがくいん）で文化人類学（ぶんかじんるいがく）の研究（けんきゅう）をしています。去年（きょねん）イギリスの大学院（だいがくいん）で修士号（しゅうしごう）をとりました。英語（えいご）での会話（かいわ）もできます。

また、これまでイギリスのマンチェスターとロンドン、オーストラリア、カンボジアに長期間（ちょうきかん）住（す）んだことがあり、アフリカ、ヨーロッパ、アジア、アメリカ大陸...色（いろ）んなところを旅行（りょこう）してきました。

食べ物（たべもの）を作（つく）る、食（た）べることはもちろん、食文化（しょくぶんか）について勉強（べんきょう）するのも大好（だいす）きです。好（す）きな食（た）べ物（もの）は、納豆（なっとう）、豆腐（とうふ）、ウイスキーとキャロットケーキ！！お気（き）に入（い）りのポッドキャストはBBCのThe food chainです。

他にも、映画（えいが）・ドラマ鑑賞（かんしょう）が趣味（しゅみ）です。特（とく）に、グザヴィエドランの映画（えいが）が好（す）きです。日本（にほん）のドラマでは、深夜食堂（しんやしょくどう）もよく観（み）ます。

これから、アート、クリエイティブライティング、そして、ガーデニングを勉強（べんきょう）したいです。

今年（ことし）の3月（さんがつ）から日本語（にほんご）を教（おし）える仕事（しごと）を始（はじ）めました。

I’m currently studying for my master’s in Anthropology. Last year, I acquired my master’s degree at a British university.

Over the years, I’ve been travelling to many countries, including Africa, Europe and Asia, studied in the UK (Manchester and London) I’ve also worked in some of them (Siem Reap and Phnom Pehn in Cambodia, and Sydney, Thirroul and Griffith in Australia). 

I’m obsessed with everything related to FOOD ranging from cooking to studying different food cultures. The foods I adore are Nattou (fermented soybean), Tofu, Whisky and Carrot cake. These days, I spend a lot of time listening to BBC The Food Chain, my favourite podcast.

Also, I love spending my free time watching films (ex. Xavier Dolan) and dramas (ex. Midnight Diner).

I'm thinking to start exploring visual arts, particularly drawing, creative writing and gardening (mainly to grow food).

I started teaching Japanese to adults of other nationalities online this March, which has been an eye-opening and amazing experience.

★Free Conversations

Let’s chat without a structured lesson or fixed topic. In this way, not only can you learn a wide range of vocabularies and expressions, but you can get used to ‘unexpectedness’, which you always come across in daily conversations. The examples are:

・The items I recently bought
・My favourite Youtubers
・The differences in services and prices between mobile phone companies in Japan
...etc

レッスンの前（まえ）に決（き）めておいたトピックについて話（はな）しましょう。トピックに応（おう）じた単語（たんご）や表現（ひょうげん）が学（まな）べます。話（はな）せるようになりたいトピックを教（おし）えてくださいね。

★Thematic Talks

Do you want to talk about something specific? If so, a thematic talk is a perfect option for you as you can select what you want to talk. If you want, collect thoughts and learn some vocabulary before the lesson. If you do not prepare anything, don’t worry! I can provide you with topic specific expressions and phrases within the lesson, which are highly relevant to the topic.

★友達会話（ともだちかいわ）

くだけた日本語（にほんご）を身（み）につけたいですか？ここでは敬語（けいご）は使（つか）いません。友人（ゆうじん）と家族（かぞく）と話（はな）すときの言葉（ことば）で話（はな）しましょう。教科書（きょうかしょ）には載（の）っていない表現（ひょうげん）がたくさん学（まな）べます。

・こんにちは　➔　やっほー
・元気（げんき）ですか？　➔　最近（さいきん）どう？
・いいですね　➔　いいね！

★Informal Conversation

Do you want to learn natural responses, answers and expressions for daily Japanese conversations? We often change phrases and words when speaking with people closer to us, but, in most cases, they are absent in Japanese language textbooks. One of the best ways to learn them is to arrange an 'informal only' chatting time, use them in speaking, and listen to how native speakers talk.

友達（ともだち）やビジネスパートナーとの日本語（にほんご）でのメッセージのやりとりに困（こま）った経験（けいけん）はありますか？スカイプのチャット機能（きのう）を使（つか）って話（はな）しましょう。楽（たの）しく、効果的（こうかてき）にメッセージが作（つく）れるようになります。初級（しょきゅう）でも大丈夫（だいじょうぶ）です。

★Text Chat 

Are you having trouble texting friends or business partners in Japanese? In this lesson, we use the chat function on Skype to practice writing simple Japanese messages. Open to all levels.

★Proofreading

Do you need proofreading by a Japanese native speaker? I will check your writing, ensuring your word choice sounds natural and fits the context of your writing. Also, if necessary, I will suggest removing some texts to make sentences more clear and concise. I already hold one master’s degree (in the UK), and I am currently studying for another master’s at a Japanese university.
