Terms of Service | Online Japanese Lessons

This English page is a simplified summary for your convenience. The official, legally binding Terms are the full Japanese version. If there is any difference between the two, the Japanese version prevails.

1. Account & Registration

•You must provide accurate information. Minors need parental consent to use the service.
•Please note that some tutors may not be certified Japanese teachers.
•Keep your password secure. We are not responsible for any issues caused by poor password management.
•We may decline or delete your account if you violate these rules or cause trouble.

2. Prohibited Actions

To keep the service safe for everyone, you must not:

•Harass, insult, or cause trouble to tutors or other users.
•Contact tutors privately outside the service, ask for their personal or employment details, or recruit them for other jobs.
•Upload, share, or sell lesson recordings, screenshots, or lesson materials without permission.
•Share your account with others.

3. Lessons & Tools

•Lessons are mainly conducted via Zoom.
•Tutors may record lessons solely for fact-checking in case of a serious dispute.

Your tutor creates the Zoom meeting and sends you the link (shown right after booking, on the lesson detail screen, or by email). You do not need to prepare a link.

4. Cancellations & Absences

If you cancel

You can cancel a booked lesson for free up to 24 hours before it starts, and your points will be refunded in full. If you cancel less than 24 hours before the lesson, your points will not be refunded.

If you are late or absent

If you are more than 10 minutes late, or cannot join because of your own PC or connection issues, you will be marked absent. Points will not be refunded.

If the tutor cancels

If a lesson is canceled due to the tutor's circumstances, your points will be refunded.

5. Payments & Refunds

•Fees must be paid in advance.
•We never charge a fee before you purchase points or join our monthly plan.
•Refunds are only available for unused points within 2 weeks of purchase, and a 5% processing fee applies. No other refunds will be accepted.

6. Withdrawals

You can pause or delete your account at any time from the website. If you delete your account, all remaining points and benefits will be lost.

7. Disclaimers & Copyright

•All content on this website and all lesson materials belong to us or to the tutors. Unauthorized copying or sharing is strictly prohibited.
•Except where caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for internet connection issues, Zoom malfunctions, or other damages caused by using this service.
•These Terms are governed by Japanese law. We may change these Terms at any time.
